LAtest cvs has a little bug in src/interfaces/ecpg/lib/Makefile.in

        $(LD) $(LDFLAGS_SL) -o $@ ecpglib.sho typename.sho.o

must be
        $(LD) $(LDFLAGS_SL) -o $@ ecpglib.sho.o typename.sho.o
                                             ^^
